Hello soon to be 2020 graduates and families of 2020 graduates
While the COVID 19 Pandemic has had a significant impact on us and schooling, it doesn't minimize or dampen the years of hard work it requires to earn a high school diploma. We also recognize that traditionally, high school graduation ceremonies are important rites of passage that create memories that last a lifetime. The Fillmore Unified School District Governing Board is committed to supporting an in-person graduation ceremony for our graduating seniors once we have received authorization from public health officials to hold gatherings. We do not have any information as to when the public health orders will change and will inform the community once an update has been received.
We are committed to recognizing and celebrating your accomplishments on Thursday, June 4 at 6:00 pm. with a graduation procession.
Please read very carefully. Caps, gowns and graduation cords will be distributed on May 21st following this schedule:
What: Cap and Gown Drive-up distribution
Where: Fillmore High School Parking Lot— Look for the canopies and stay in your cars.
When: Students with last names starting:
A-F 2:00 pm
G-L 2:30 pm
M-S 3:00 pm
T-Z 3:30 pm
*Students will not be allowed out of their cars.
Any seniors who have not ordered their cap and gown, should do so immediately on www.jostens.com.
When students come to pick up their caps and gowns, they will be provided specific information regarding the procession on June 4th at 6:00 pm.
Class of 2020- your final chapter has yet to be written. As a staff we are committed to working with you so that your voice and legacy continues.
