ANNOUNCEMENTS
-Congratulations to Adrianna Deleon for qualifying to the next round of CIF in Track & Field. Adrianna will complete in the Discus at the CIF Finals at Moorpark High School this Saturday. Way to throw Adrianna.
-Cross Country meeting #2 will be held on Thursday 5/14 in room 20 at 1:20PM. If you plan to run next year, please attend the meeting. As a friendly reminder, the registration link for next year is now open so you can register now before you get your physical. See you at the meeting.
-Attention all students, the Fillmore High School Athletic Department highly encourages you to purchase your ASB sticker for $40.00 at the student store. The ASB sticker will allow you to enter the contests for Football, Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Wrestling. If you do not have an ASB Sticker, the cost will be $5.00 for each event. You can save now by purchasing the ASB sticker. If you are an athlete, you are still expected to pay admission to the sporting events that you are not participating in. Weather Guidelines
<76.1°F Normal Activities = Provide at least three separate rest breaks each hour with a minimum duration of 3 min each during the workout
76.3 - 81.0°F = Use discretion for intense or prolonged exercise; Provide at least three separate rest breaks each hour with a minimum duration of 4 min each.
81.1 - 84.0°F = Maximum outdoor practice time is 2 h. Provide at least four separate rest breaks each hour with a minimum duration of 4 min each. For Football/Field Hockey: players are restricted to helmet, shoulder pads, and shorts during practice. If the WBGT rises to this level during practice, players may continue to work out wearing full pads without changing to shorts.
84.2 - 86.0°F = Contests are permitted with additional hydration breaks. Maximum outdoor practice time is 1 h. No protective equipment may be worn during practice, and there may be no conditioning activities. There must be 20 min of rest breaks distributed throughout the hour of practice.
≥86.2°F = No outdoor workouts/contests. Delay practice/competitions until a cooler WBGT is reached.
